1.Do I need to install the Charge Pump separately? What should I pay attention to when replacing it?

Integrated with the main pump, the charge pump needs no separate installation. When replacing, align the spline shaft correctly, torque the screws properly, keep the mating surface clean, and use the right seal ring for reliable sealing.

2.What preparations are needed before starting the Charge Pump for the first time?

Before the first start-up of the charge pump, the following preparations are required:
  1. System Check: Verify all hydraulic lines and connections are tight and leak-free.

  2. Oil Level & Quality: Ensure the hydraulic tank is filled to the correct level with the specified anti-wear hydraulic oil (ISO VG 46/68) of the required cleanliness.

  3. Rotation Direction Confirmation: Confirm the pump’s rotation direction matches the main pump and engine specifications.

  4. Bleeding Air: Loosen high-point bleed screws or open vent valves to purge air from the system, preventing cavitation.

  5. Mounting & Alignment Check: Ensure the pump is securely mounted, the spline shaft is properly aligned, and fasteners are torqued to specifications.

  6. Filter Check: Inspect and replace the hydraulic suction/return filter if contaminated.


3.What are the requirements for hydraulic oil when using the PSVL2-36CG Charge Pump?

The hydraulic oil requirements for the PSVL2-36CG Charge Pump are as follows:
  • Recommended Oil Type: Anti-wear hydraulic oil meeting ISO VG 46 or VG 68, suitable for medium-to-high pressure continuous operation.

  • Cleanliness Standard: ISO 4406 class 18/15 or higher, to protect precision gears and bearings from wear.

  • Viscosity Range: Maintain operating viscosity between 15–100 cSt; avoid extreme thinness or thickness under high/low temperatures.

  • Temperature Range: Operate within -20°C to +80°C; avoid prolonged use above 80°C to prevent oil degradation.

  • Compatibility: Must be compatible with rubber seals and internal pump materials to prevent swelling or degradation.

  • Usage Notes: Use fresh, uncontaminated oil; do not mix different brands or grades.


4. Can the rotation direction of the  Charge Pump be reversed? What are the consequences of reverse rotation?

It cannot run in reverse rotation. Reverse operation will cause insufficient oil supply and pressure loss, trigger severe cavitation, wear internal gears and bearings sharply. It also damages sealing parts, leads to system malfunction and shortens pump service life greatly.


5. Is the Charge Pump a dedicated accessory? Can it work normally without it?

It is a dedicated exclusive accessory matching the main pump. The equipment cannot run normally without it. It supplies pilot pressure, lubrication and oil replenishment, lacking it will cause pump damage and system failure.


6.Can the displacement of the  PSVL2-36CG Charge Pump be replaced arbitrarily?

The displacement cannot be replaced randomly. It must strictly match the original parameter. Improper displacement will lead to abnormal pressure, poor lubrication and system faults, and easily damage pump components。
