 K5V160DTP hydraulic pump a piston hydraulic overview



The K5V160DTP is  a more affordable alternative to the original,a high-performance swash-plate type axial variable displacement piston pump independently developed and produced by Kawasaki Heavy Industries. It adopts a tandem (double pump in series) structure with an integrated PTO (Power Take-Off) interface, specifically designed for 30–38 ton class large construction machinery and heavy industrial equipment. With exceptional power density, high volumetric efficiency and reliable high-pressure performance, this pump is widely used in harsh working scenarios such as construction, mining and infrastructure, providing stable and efficient power support for the hydraulic system of heavy equipment.

    volumetric efficiency even at low speed and low pressure. Compared with the old K3V series, it has larger displacement 

    and higher output torque under the same installation size, realizing efficient power output.

    it can withstand long-term heavy-load impact and peak pressure of 39.2 MPa, effectively extending the service life in

    Standard constant power control and pressure cut-off function, optional load-sensing and electro-hydraulic proportional

    control, which can accurately match the needs of complex actions, reduce energy consumption and improve operational

  • Compact Structure & Easy Installation:Tandem (double pump in series) structure, two pump cores share one main shaft, with

    compactlayout. DTP side inlet and bottom outlet port design is optimized for the pipeline layout of 30–38 ton excavators, with 

    high installationspace utilization. The integrated PTO interface can drive auxiliary systems such as fans and pilot pumps.

  • High Reliability & Operational Adaptability:Optimized housing and valve plate structure minimize pulsation and noise. Excellent

    self-priming capability handles complex conditions such as high altitude and low temperatures, effectively reducing cavitation risks

    and ensuring stable continuous operation.
