K5V140DTP  Hydraulic Variable Piston Pump Overview


The K5V140DTP h ydraulic variable piston pump is a more affordable alternative to the original, a high-performance swash-plate type axial variable displacement piston pump independently developed and produced by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, belonging to the mature K5V series. Adopting a tandem (double pump in series) structure with an integrated PTO (Power Take-Off) interface, it is specifically designed for 28–35 ton class large construction machinery and heavy industrial equipment. With the application of new technology, this pump achieves higher power density, and while maintaining the same installation dimensions as the K3V series, it has a larger displacement, stronger reliability and longer service life, which can fully meet the demand for larger torque in harsh working conditions, providing stable and efficient power support for the hydraulic system of heavy equipment.

The pump's flow is adjusted by changing the angle of an internal swash plate. As the swash plate angle changes, the stroke length of the pistons varies, which in turn changes the volume of fluid displaced per rotation, allowing the flow rate to adapt to the system's needs.
