FAQ

  • Q How to read hydraulic valve schematics?

    A To read hydraulic schematics:
    Identify pump, tank, valves, cylinders
    Follow flow lines and arrows
Each square shows a valve position
Springs and solenoids show how valves shift
Always read from power source to actuator.
  • Q How to hook two hydraulic valves together?

A Two valves can be connected using:
    Power Beyond port
    Or series connection
    Pump → Valve 1 → Power Beyond → Valve 2 → Tank
This ensures both valves receive pressure properly.
  • Q How many types are hydraulic valves?

A There are 4 main types of hydraulic valves.
    1.Directional control valves
    2.Pressure control valves
    3.Flow control valves
    4.Check valves (non-return valves)

  • Q How to bleed a hydraulic clutch without a bleeder valve?

    A Method:
Fill master cylinder with brake fluid
    Slowly pump the clutch pedal
Let air move back to the reservoir
    Keep fluid level full
    Repeat until pedal becomes firm
Some systems require vacuum or pressure bleeding.
  • Q How to add a hydraulic valve to a tractor?

A To add a hydraulic valve to a tractor:
Find the pressure line from the pump
Install the new valve in series or with power beyond
    Connect return line to tank
Connect work ports to cylinder or motor
Test for leaks and correct operation
Always follow the tractor’s hydraulic diagram.
  • Q How does a 4-way hydraulic valve work?

A  4-way hydraulic valve controls two working ports, one pressure port, and one return port.
    It directs oil:
    To extend a cylinder
    Or to retract a cylinder
It is mainly used for double-acting cylinders and motors.
  • Q How do I know if my hydraulic valve is bad?

A Common signs of a bad hydraulic valve:
    Wrong direction movement
    Slow or no movement
    Pressure loss
    System overheating
    Unstable or jerky operation
    Abnormal noise
  • Q How does a hydraulic flow control valve work?

A Hydraulic flow control valve works by restricting or regulating oil flow rate, which controls the speed of a hydraulic cylinder or motor.
    Flow control = speed control.
  • Q How do hydraulic valve lifters work?

A Hydraulic valve lifters use engine oil pressure to automatically keep zero valve clearance.Oil fills the lifter, pushing internal parts to remove any gap, ensuring quiet and efficient valve operation.
  • Q How to adjust hydraulic valve lifters?

A Hydraulic valve lifters do not need manual adjustment in most engines. They automatically adjust using oil pressure.
    If you hear noise:

Check oil level and oil pressure
    Use correct engine oil
Clean or replace faulty lifters if needed
  • Q How to bleed a hydraulic cylinder without a bleeder valve?

A To bleed a hydraulic cylinder without a bleeder valve:
Fill the hydraulic tank with oil
Run the cylinder slowly in and out several times
Keep the oil level full at all times
Stop if the movement becomes smooth and stable
Repeat until there is no jerky movement or noise
Air will return to the tank through the return line.
  • Q How many types are hydraulic valves?

A There are 4 main types of hydraulic valves.
    1.Directional control valves
    2.Pressure control valves
    3.Flow control valves
    4.Check valves (non-return valves)

  • Q What is a hydraulic valve?

A Hydraulic valve is a control component used in a hydraulic system to regulate the direction, pressure and flow of hydraulic fluid. It ensures the correct operation of hydraulic cylinders, motors and other actuators.
  • Q Why choose Green Hydraulic for hydraulic PTO and pump solutions?

A Green Hydraulic provides reliable PTO systems, matching hydraulic pumps, professional technical support, fast delivery and complete mobile hydraulic power solutions.
  • Q What are the most famous PTO brand that we can be replace?

A Our PTO can be replace Parker Chelsea,Muncie Power Products,OMFB brand,Bezares and Hyva,ZF Friedrichshafen and so on.
  • Q What is the difference between mechanical PTO and hydraulic PTO?

A Mechanical PTO transfers power directly through gears or shafts, while hydraulic PTO usually refers to a PTO system that drives a hydraulic pump to create hydraulic power.
  • Q What safety precautions should be taken when using PTO?

A Always engage and disengage PTO at low engine speed, avoid overload, follow manufacturer instructions and ensure protective covers are installed.
  • Q Can hydraulic PTO be used with different hydraulic pumps?

A Yes,as long as the mounting flange, shaft type, speed and torque capacity match the hydraulic pump requirements.

  • Q How do I maintain a hydraulic PTO?

A Regularly check gear oil, mounting bolts, seals, noise and vibration.Proper lubrication and correct operation can greatly extend PTO service life.
  • Q How is a hydraulic PTO engaged?

A Hydraulic PTO can be engaged by air control, hydraulic control, electric control or mechanical lever, depending on the system design.
