Product Description
The OMS Series Orbital Motor is a medium-duty low-speed high-torque hydraulic orbit motor adopting advanced disc valve & 3-zone geroller design, engineered for heavy-load mobile machinery. It covers displacements from 80cc to 500cc/rev, delivering stable high starting torque with excellent efficiency and anti-backpressure capacity. Compact, robust and fully modular, this motor works reliably in harsh dusty, humid and high-vibration working environments, widely replacing original Danfoss OMS series with full interchangeability.
Superior Low-Speed Performance: Smooth rotation without crawling at minimum stable speed 15rpm, constant torque output in full speed range, shock-free forward/reverse switch
High Efficiency & Low Leakage: Optimized internal flow channel reduces pressure loss; volumetric efficiency ≥90%, total efficiency over 85%, drain leakage 30% lower than standard models
Heavy-Duty Durability: Ductile iron housing, carburized hardened friction pairs, reinforced roller bearings, wear-resistant Viton shaft seal optional; withstands continuous pressure up to 210bar, intermittent peak 275bar

Primary Recommended Fluid
Standard anti-wear hydraulic oil (AW/HM grade) with viscosity grades ISO VG32 and ISO VG46 are the official match for OMS series orbital motors.
ISO VG 32 AW Hydraulic Oil: Suitable for indoor equipment, temperate climate and light-load agricultural machinery.
ISO VG 46 AW Hydraulic Oil: Universal choice for construction, forestry and heavy farm machines; performs stably under high continuous pressure and summer high temperature.
Special Climate Alternatives
Cold northern regions below -20℃: Use HV high viscosity index anti-wear oil (HV32 / HV46) for better low-temperature fluidity.
Sustained high-temperature heavy-load operation: ISO VG68 AW oil is acceptable as an alternative.
Critical Oil Requirements
Oil cleanliness standard: NAS 8 or higher, avoid particle contamination to prevent abrasion of geroller and valve plate.
Working temperature range of matched oil: -20℃ ~ +80℃, consistent with the motor’s operating temperature limit.
Do not mix different brands or types of hydraulic fluids.
6. What is the typical speed range of OMS Orbital Motor ?
Low-speed limit: 15 rpm
This is the minimum stable working speed of the OMS orbital motor. It delivers steady torque without jitter or creeping at low rotation, ideal for slow-speed drive like wheel hubs and winches.
Max rated speed: 1850 rpm
Do not run the motor continuously above this speed, otherwise excessive heat and rapid wear of internal friction pairs will occur.
Practical common working speed
Most agricultural, construction and forestry machinery runs within 50–800 rpm for long-term stable operation.
