OMS Orbital Motor OVERVIEW

The OMS Series Orbital Motor is a medium-duty low-speed high-torque hydraulic orbit motor adopting advanced disc valve & 3-zone geroller design, engineered for heavy-load mobile machinery. It covers displacements from 80cc to 500cc/rev, delivering stable high starting torque with excellent efficiency and anti-backpressure capacity. Compact, robust and fully modular, this motor works reliably in harsh dusty, humid and high-vibration working environments, widely replacing original Danfoss OMS series with full interchangeability.

    • ISO VG 32 AW Hydraulic Oil: Suitable for indoor equipment, temperate climate and light-load agricultural machinery.

      ISO VG 46 AW Hydraulic Oil: Universal choice for construction, forestry and heavy farm machines; performs stably under high continuous pressure and summer high temperature.

    • Special Climate Alternatives

    • Cold northern regions below -20℃: Use HV high viscosity index anti-wear oil (HV32 / HV46) for better low-temperature fluidity.

      Sustained high-temperature heavy-load operation: ISO VG68 AW oil is acceptable as an alternative.

    • Critical Oil Requirements

    • Oil cleanliness standard: NAS 8 or higher, avoid particle contamination to prevent abrasion of geroller and valve plate.

      Working temperature range of matched oil: -20℃ ~ +80℃, consistent with the motor’s operating temperature limit.

    • Low-speed limit: 15 rpm

      This is the minimum stable working speed of the OMS orbital motor. It delivers steady torque without jitter or creeping at low rotation, ideal for slow-speed drive like wheel hubs and winches.

    • Max rated speed: 1850 rpm

      Do not run the motor continuously above this speed, otherwise excessive heat and rapid wear of internal friction pairs will occur.

    • Practical common working speed

      Most agricultural, construction and forestry machinery runs within 50–800 rpm for long-term stable operation.
