Product Description
The HGP-4A Series Gear Pump is a high-pressure, compact aluminum alloy hydraulic gear pump widely used in mobile and industrial hydraulic systems. It features high volumetric efficiency, low noise, and durable construction, supporting continuous operation up to 250 bar rated pressure (300 bar peak) and speeds up to 3000 rpm. With displacements from 20 to 70 cc/rev, it offers flexible mounting (SAE 2-bolt flange) and multiple shaft/port configurations for easy integration.

1. What is the pressure rating of HGP-4A?
Rated pressure: 250 bar (3625 psi); maximum peak pressure: 300 bar (4351 psi).
2. What is the speed range?
Recommended: 600–2500 rpm; maximum: 3000 rpm (depends on displacement and oil viscosity).
3. What displacements are available?
20, 23, 25, 28, 32, 36, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 70 cc/rev.
4. What hydraulic oil can be used?
Anti-wear hydraulic oil (ISO VG 32/46/68); viscosity 16–40 cSt recommended (12–800 cSt allowable); temperature −15 °C to 80 °C.
5. Can it run clockwise and counterclockwise?
Yes. Specify R (CW) or L (CCW) when ordering; do not reverse rotation on site.
6. What shaft and port options are there?
Shaft: X (straight), Y (spline), Z (taper).
Ports: PT/BSP/NPT thread or flange type; inlet larger than outlet.
7. Why is the pump noisy?
Air in the system (bleed air, check oil level).
Clogged suction filter or undersized suction line.
Shaft misalignment or coupling damage.
Oil viscosity too high at cold start.
8. What causes low flow/pressure?
Internal gear/bearing wear (high hours or contamination).
Seal leakage (oil seal aging).
Relief valve malfunction.
Insufficient motor speed or wrong rotation.
9. Is it easy to install and replace?
Yes. Standard SAE 2-bolt flange and common shaft/port dimensions enable direct replacement for most Chinese/Korean pumps.
10. How to prevent cavitation?
Keep oil level ≥ 50 mm above suction port.
Use suction filter ≤ 100 μm, pressure drop < 0.2 bar.
Avoid suction lift > 0.5 m; keep suction line short and large diameter.
11. What is the maintenance interval?
Every 500 hours: replace return filter, check oil cleanliness.
Every 2000 hours: inspect gears, bearings, and seals; replace worn parts.
12. Does it support high-temperature environments?
Yes. Standard Viton seals allow up to 80 °C; for higher temperatures, specify high-temperature seal kit。
